Daily Prayers and Jummah
Friday is the most important day of the week for Muslims around the world because of the Friday congregational prayer otherwise known as the Jumm’a.
This is the day when people have the chance to pray together and listen to educational sermons delivered by the local Imams. It’s also a day which brings the community together in an atmosphere filled with joy, happiness and blessings.
Muslims living in the West make special arrangements at work, schools, colleges and universities to be part of this Friday prayer either at their local prayer rooms or mosques.
Islamic Centre is delighted to have offered this service since 1970 to the local community of Newcastle upon Tyne.
